Be sure to spread the word about Earth Overclocked! Every vote is another step forward to being greenlit!
If you are new to this, we post a screenshot, animated gif, and sometimes something else every weekend to show some neat features in Earth Overclocked. We wanted to start strong on Steam Greenlight, so here is a mega laser! The team was working on this as a side project over the last few days. It isn't the most devastating attack in the game, but the mega laser's large area of effect can make it difficult to stay clear of while avoiding other enemies. Meanwhile, the team is interested in starting livestreams on Twitch. We will announce more about this soon! Be sure to spread the word about Earth Overclocked! Steam Greenlight Page (Vote for us!)Earth Overclocked has hit Steam Greenlight! Please check it out and please vote for us!
We renamed our team from Guys and a Box to Chronicle Bench!
Website Link: http://www.chroniclebench.com/ Twitter Link: https://twitter.com/ChronicleBench "Where is the Earth Overclocked tab? Was the game canceled!? NOOOOO-!" Don't worry! We removed the tab because it linked to the Desura page, which just recently filed bankruptcy! We will be creating a new page on Steam Greenlight instead. Stay tuned for the announcement of the page, and be sure to help us get greenlit on Steam when the page is up! Happy Screenshot Saturday, everyone! We have something smaller to showcase this time. One of the biggest redesigns in Earth Overclocked's full release is the lab where the events of the game begin. Below is a preview of the Scientist working on his time machine, unaware of the events that are about to occur. Continue to be on the lookout for more Screenshot Saturdays, and be sure to follow our Twitter account, @GuysandaBox, where we post all Screenshot Saturdays and more!
We hope to have a smooth Summer release! It will be worth the wait! Welcome to this Screenshot Saturday! Today we have one of the game's 21 boss fights to showcase! Crystal Heart is one of the beginner level bosses. It can be intimidating at first to newcomers, but it isn't too difficult to take out. Stronger bosses reside in the outer regions of Distorted Earth.
Stay tuned for future Screenshot Saturdays! Recall that one of them may include a trailer. *wink* Welcome to this Screenshot Saturday, where a spoiler image is posted every weekend to show something off in Earth Overclocked until its release this Summer! Lately, I've been tinkering with fog in dungeons and in the overworld to build atmosphere. This is what it currently looks like in the Desert Dungeon: Stay tuned for our future spoilers! Maybe one will be a sneak peak trailer. *wink*
Welcome to this week's Screenshot Saturday! ...No, don't go telling me it's Sunday! The calendar is lying! Anyways, we have a bit of a sneak peak this time. Here these weapons lie in the corner of the Scientist's lab. The poor guy won't have the chance to toy with them in the lab, but perhaps the weapons will resurface for use during his travels in Distorted Earth.
Stay tuned for next Screenshot Saturday! Busy things happened which caused us to miss the last Screenshot Saturday! To make up for it, here are TWO images on what we have been working on lately! The overworld, content-wise, is complete, but has also looked barren. To help this, we added some new features to make the overworld more interesting! Behold, prop clusters and mini-biomes! Prop clusters are clusters of certain props. Above is a stump cluster. We have also other types of clusters, such as tree, cactus, and crystal clusters! For giggles, we even have a snowman cluster!
Mini-biomes are smaller biome bodies generated in the larger biomes. They are very common and reduce the segmented feel of the overworld. Both clusters and mini-biomes can also sometimes contain loot. Stay tuned for next Saturday! We may have something special in store! This time we have a an animated gif to share, showing off some combat! The game can get pretty intense, even in the overworld! Be prepared as we approach the release this Summer!
"Well that was a bad idea." Here we see the inhabitants of the unlockable Crystal biome forming a riot.
Someone remind me to remove the "spawn 100 enemies" button in the future... |
